The European Medical Business Institute (EMBI) is the Swiss and International expert organisation for research and education in areas related to healthcare and business.
Bachelor and Master programmes – as well as Certificate courses for experienced professionals – train in the fields of practice and healthcare management, medical tourism, eHealth and medical informatics. The courses are aimed at the development of entrepreneurial skills, the acquisition of business management knowledge in a medical context, organisational development, digitalisation in healthcare and international health management.

Certificate Programs
In addition to several study programs, the institute offers certificate courses to various actors in healthcare and business. The contents include, among others, practice organization and controlling, eHealth, telemedicine and digital medicine, quality management, leadership, patient orientation and solution-oriented communication as well as medical tourism in an international context.

Graduates pursue careers in larger medical or dental practices, hold positions in hospital and clinic management, work with medical devices or become experts in medical tourism, healthcare management or research (in companies, chambers, business or educational organisations, universities, administration, etc.). The institute is closely linked to the consulting firm "med3" that specializes in the optimisation of health related businesses.
As to participate in MBA courses of the EurAKA-EMBI-GAME, students should have work experience either in healthcare or in some healthcare management related context as well as a Bachelor or Diplima HE (higher education). Doctoral studies and habilitations can also be completed at the institute (EurAKA-EMBI-GAME). Doctoral Studies & Habilitation
The interface between healthcare and business that was created with the institute (EurAKA-EMBI-GAME) also offers the opportunity of doctoral studies and habilitations (habilitations also for medical doctors with doctoral degrees which work on business related research questions in a medical context). Habilitated professionals pursue careers in the management of larger medical or dental practices, hold positions in hospital and clinic management, work with medical devices or become top experts in medical tourism, healthcare management or research (in companies, chambers, business or educational organisations, universities, administration, etc.)
